Capernaum

Recently, I have been observing that on the birthday of my friends, such a wish often sounds: «first of all, thank you to the parents who gave birth to you.» What beautiful words yes? If they did not give us life, we would not know a multifaceted world.

But have you heard that a 12-year-old child has sued his parents for birth? Yes, perhaps not surprisingly. Because this is the fusion of the movie Capernaum.

In the family, Zane is the eldest brother. He can’t even go to school, as he worked at a local store and helped his parents smuggle drugs into jail. His main goal is to escape with his sister to Sweden. But not everyone formed as he thought. Zane’s parents are in a hurry to marry the owner of a large store. Zane runs away from home, using the same moment. He later tries to survive on the streets of Lebanon. Zane’s words sounded like this in court: “Such a life bothered me. Adults do not care about me, they beat me endlessly. I don’t hear a good word, except for «leave me alone» and «fuck off.» I really wanted to be a good person, and life is terrible. I so dreamed that they would love and respect me. Why does Allah not want this, does he want everyone to trample us underfoot? ”The film ends with a photograph of Zane. On it, he smiles for the first time in the entire film. A symbol of childhood is the happy smile of a child. Symbolically at the end of the film, photographing Zane on a passport, the photographer asked the boy to smile. A smile on a child’s face is a “passport” — his life. Zane had neither a passport nor a childhood. I could not get together for a long time to watch this film. I looked and cried.

All children are born with a need for love and a need for knowledge. To love is not only words, first of all, it is actions and great happiness and great responsibility!
