Ocean’s 8 girlfriends, by hook or by crook, are trying to copy the original trilogy, with one difference: the whole caste represents the beautiful half of humanity.
In all other respects, the movie does not shy away from repeating the ancestor in all kinds of ideas and ideas, only doing so is too mediocre and stupid. Even the whole structure in many respects follows the original with accuracy, without any desire to at least surprise the viewer. And well, if completely repeating the Friends of Ocean, the atmosphere, dynamics and the ingenuity with which they carried out their robberies were preserved. But there is none of this, except for two cameo heroes from the trilogy.
I do not want to say that Ocean’s friends were perfect. As in any other film, you can find certain disadvantages and illogicalities there. But this was offset by an interesting action, frenzied excitement, a good selection of actors and their play. Ocean’s girlfriends are disgusting when viewed from the reboot, which is a beaten path, changing only the outer shell. But as something independent, Girlfriends are even worse. Indistinct motivations, the absence of any chemistry between the characters and the lion’s share of scenario impotence result in a very boring sight, during which he is drawn to talk with a neighbor, or check for new incoming messages on the phone.
No one is trying in this film, not even the cast, which looks too rag and one-sided, so if you look for reasons why you could go to Ocean’s 8 friends, I can only find one: personal interest.
