Boyhood

It won’t be superfluous if I say that Richard Linklater’s film “Boyhood” immediately revealed my interest.

Because I was surprised when I find out that for full publishing of the film it took 11 years and I tried to find reasons for that. What is the feature of the film that has won more than 20 prizes? How did accept the viewer?  Commonly, what is the reason for the successful completion of the project? Let us give answers to given questions.

Filming of the American feature film “Boyhood” has taken the period from the summer of 2002  to October of 2013. Screening of the film was on 19th of January of 2014 at the “Sundance” festival.

If the duration of the film product takes 163 minutes, for filming was spent 4 billion dollars. Besides, was gathered 44 495 281 dollars.

As a viewer, I perceived the content and plot warmly. Because every person goes through this stage. Even by watching I imagined my childhood. Properties of the film are: there is not so much skipped the period as on many films (e.g. after 2 years), there are no changes of the cast and сombination of 11 years to 2.5 hours.

In general, the film almost entirely consists of imperceptibly passable moments, where time is not only a supporter of a person, moreover, the film shows him as his main rival. In situation one of the main scenes is the relocation of Evens` family.

The moment of Mason’s farewell to a friend who came to say the last words following the bicycle behind the car was the saddest and sorrowful moment of his childhood. That is, the work of the director, the cast, the team especially combined. And for this reason, I think the film was successful.
